Radford University & University of Lynchburg featured in U.S. News’ Best Colleges


LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Annually, U.S. News and World Report releases their annual college rankings and Radford University is placed at number 12 the University of Lynchburg is placed at number 20 in its overall ranking among Best Regional Universities – South.

Radford University’s favorable result stemmed from several outstanding achievements and developments at the University which demonstrates Radford’s steadfast commitment to empowering students.

University of Lynchburg also placed in the top ten in two other lists, claiming the number nine spot on the regional list of Best Value Schools and number 10 for Best Colleges for Veterans.

Roanoke College also was recognized in the Best Undergraduate Teaching schools in the Liberal Arts Schools category, ranking at number 40. This marks the first time the college has been recognized on the list.

The rankings are based on data related to enrollment, retention, financial aid, graduation rates, student-faculty ratio and alumni giving.
