ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — An investigation is underway after police found a dead man and woman in a southeast Roanoke home on Sunday.

According to Caitlyn Cline with Roanoke Police, officers were sent to a home in the 1600 block of Queen Anne Drive Southeast for a wellness check at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Inside, they found the two adults dead inside the home.

Neighbor Welton Joyner told WFXR he was shocked at the deaths.

“They kept to themselves. They really didn’t bother anybody. They were quiet. There was not a lot of traffic over there. You didn’t see a lot of people going in or out. So, to see it happen to them, it’s kind of surprising to me. It really is.”
