“Operation Chill” promoting good deeds by children

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office is acknowledging children who perform good deeds in a cool way.

“Operation Chill” involves children receiving “tickets” when caught doing good deeds like deterring crime or wearing bicycle helmets.

The tickets? Free 7-11 slurpee coupons!

1.475 million free slurpee coupons have been issued nationwide to over 1,100 different law enforcement agencies.

The program lasts through the summer.
