LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Lynchburg Fire Department says one person is hospitalized after a house fire broke out on May 30.
Around 9:36 p.m. on Tuesday, crews responded to the 400 block of Stafford Street where they found heavy smoke emerging from the house.
The homeowner evacuated on their own but was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Crews are currently working to put out the fire and residual smoke.
Firefighters are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
