One of four suspects charged in 2018 armed burglary rejects plea agreement

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A man accused of participating in an armed robbery that resulted in a homicide rejected a plea agreement in court on Tuesday.

Andrew Jeffers was arrested July 2018 for his role in the armed robbery of Amber Ross, a woman shot and killed in her home on Overland Drive when four people tried to rob her.

One of the suspects dropped Ross off at a nearby hospital and left.

Jeffers was arrested in New York nearly a month after Ross was killed.

He’s charged with armed burglary and robbery. His jury trial is scheduled for October 2019.
