One injured in Gretna shooting

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Gretna.

The shooting happened on Rockford School Road. The call came in around 2:00 a.m., on Sunday.

Someone reported a disturbance at a large party and said someone had been shot.

According to Deputies, the victim was transported by a “private vehicle” to the Centra Health Emergency Department in Gretna and then later transported to Lynchburg General Hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. 

Deputies did not say who was shot or if there are any suspects in the case.
