(WFXR) – Carmakers are gearing up to create more vehicles that run purely on electric power but the question is…are drivers really ready to give up gas-powered vehicles to go green?
WFXR News has reported that General Motors plans to go all-electric by the year 2035.
But another question that’s circulating…are electric vehicles really better for the environment?
The Wall Street Journal and the University of Toronto did a deep dive on this and found that when it comes to building electric cars, they actually emit more carbon dioxide into the environment, than building a gas-powered car.
However, once those electric vehicles begin their lifespan on the road, they do release less carbon dioxide than their counterpart.
