Jessica Day, the mother of Arieanna Day, who went missing on September 11, 2018, is speaking out exactly two months after a mistrial was declared in the case of Andrew Terry. Terry, who is believed to be Arieanna’s father, was charged with concealing a body in connection with the case.

Day says she believes Arieanna, who was three months old when she went missing, is still alive.

“Please bring her home safely where she belongs. I mean this is heartbreaking. This is a mother’s worst nightmare–to live everyday and know her baby is out there somewhere and not with her,” says Day. “I can’t describe it. It’s unbreakable, unimaginable pain. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.”

Day originally told investigators on September 11, 2018 that she laid Arieanna Day down on a bed and when she went to check on the infant later in the night, the girl was missing. Since then, Day has provided multiple accounts of what happened that evening. At one point, she said she gave Arieanna to Terry on the night the girl vanished. Now, Day says that story was untrue.

“He was not involved in my pregnancy, he didn’t want anything to do with me,” says Day. “I basically wanted to get him in trouble. That’s why I said that,” Day says.

But now Day says she only wants Arieanna to come home, and be reunited with her family. Day says her changing stories were from mental health issues and the trauma of having a child go missing.

“I’m getting treated for those. I was scared to come on the media about my baby girl. But this isn’t about me, this is about her. And I want to know where she is,” says Day.

Police once called Day a strong person of interest in the case. Terry is the only person to be charged in connection with the crime. He was accused of concealing Arieanna’s body and a mistrial was declared in September after two days of testimony.

Police have previously said they believe Arieanna is deceased, but her mother feels differently.

“I love you and I miss you. I will never stop looking for you. I will never stop hoping that you will return to us one day,” says Day.

Many are hoping someone will come forward with information about what happened to Arieanna and where she is now.

Earlier this month, WFXR reported that police were requesting a search warrant for Andrew Terry’s phone to recover more data.
