More summer children’s feeding sites added to Roanoke City

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Feeding America Southwest Virginia is proud to announce two new Summer Food Service Program sites in Roanoke.

Meals are provided to all children, free of charge, on a first come, first serve basis.

New sites include:

Jefferson Center: June 17, 2019 through July 21, 2019, Monday through Friday during lunch time (11:30am-1:30 pm)

Melrose Atheltic Club: June 24, 2019-August 16, 2019, Monday through Friday for a morning snack and lunch time (10:00am-10:30am, 12:00pm-12:30pm)

Other locations currently serving summer meals have also updated their serving times. The newest times are listed below:

Garden of Prayer #7 Vision of Faith Ministries: June 5, 2019 through August 16, 2019, Monday through Friday for breakfast and lunch (8:00am-9:30am and 12:00pm-12:30pm)

Lea Youth Outdoor Basketball Camp: June 6, 2019 through July 25, 2019, Tuesday through Thursday for dinner (6:00-8:00pm).
