Lynchburg man wanted for malicious wounding


LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR News) — Lynchburg police are investigating a shooting that happened at the Millwood apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

According to police, officers responded to the 6224 block of Graves Mill Rd. for reports of malicious wounding.

Police say two males had a argument outside the complex when one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot the other.

A 30-year-old male was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police have charged 24-year-old, Carlos D. Harper, with Malicious Wounding and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.

His whereabouts are currently unknown. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
