Patrick Henry Community College president joins honor society board

The president of Patrick Henry Community College has been selected to join the presidential advisory board for the largest international honors society for community college students in the world.

Dr. Angeline Godwin has been selected to join the 38 presidents who make up the Phi Theta Kappa Presidential Advisory Board.

As a board member, Dr. Godwin will help shape the strategic plan for the organization.

Dr. Godwin became the president of Patrick Henry Community College in 2012. According to ta release from the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the college has seen an increase in high-demand programs and partnerships with area businesses and organizations since Dr. Godwin became president.

Phi Theta Kappa was established 1918 and is the largest international honors society for community college students in the world. The organization provides scholarships and opportunities to students.
