Thousands of people from all over the country will be coming to Liberty University to celebrate the New  Year.

Liberty University’s Winterfest starts Friday and goes until Saturday.

About six thousand people will come to the campus to ice skate, bowl, listen to speakers, and enjoy concerts just to name a few activities.

Organizers of the event say it’s a great way people all over the country can spend the New Year.

“We’re seeing all over social media people are already headed this way on flights and driving with their best friends. Using #LUWinterfest all over the place, it’s great, it’s really exciting,” said Amanda Bardy, Communication Coordinator for Resident Enrollment.
