CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Deputies from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office apprehended two people wanted for violation of probation this week.

A release from the sheriff’s office says deputies were called out to the Fries community on Sunday with information on the location of the fugitives.

They were given permission search a residence, where they then learned that the two ran away before deputies arrived.

A Virginia State Police K-9 was brought in to help deputies track down the pair.

Ronnie Piner and Tracy Lane were later arrested and taken into custody.

They are being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail with no bond.

Two additional people were charged with obstruction of justice in relation to the incident.
