Virginia Tech debuts new food trucks

Virginia Tech is cashing in on the latest food rage: food trucks.

The schools dining service debuted its own brand new food trucks on Monday morning on the Drill Field.

Ted Faulkner, Director of Dining Services says, “Two distinct menus on two different trucks. The Grillfield is featuring Latin infused items. As far as the Periodic Table, that’s kind of a tai-based, tai infused food selections that you’re going to see over there.”

Both students and faculty couldn’t get enough. “I think it’s a marvelous Virginia Tech got their own food trucks,” said Jaquan Scott. “I had to come and try it before all the students got to it. I got the chicken and the pork belly.”

Faulkner says the food trucks will be parked at various locations around campus. Trucks will also be open for late night options Thursday-Saturday from 8pm to midnight.
