Virginia State Police ‘bids farewell’ following loss of explosives detection K9 Rudco

(WFXR) — On Sunday night, Virginia State Police announced the loss of a furry four-legged colleague, Rudco.

According to police, Rudco — an explosives detection K9 — passed away at the age of 12 on Friday, Nov. 6.

Rudco reportedly served the southwest Virginia community alongside Senior Trooper J. Nixon from January 2010 through December 2017.

Virginia State Police took to Twitter on Sunday, Nov. 8, thanking the Belgian Malinois for such dedicated service.
