Virginia Department of Veterans Services to host four Memorial Day Ceremonies across the state

The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) will host four Memorial Day ceremonies across the state on Monday, May 27.

These ceremonies will honor and remember all men and women who lost their lives defending Virginia and the United States from the Revolutionary War to today. This event is free and the public is invited to attend.

The annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd. Dublin, VA 24084) in Dublin will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday. The keynote speaker will be Delegate Nick Rush.

DVS will also host the Commonwealth’s Memorial Day Ceremony at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is scheduled to give the keynote address.

Ceremonies will also be held at DVS state veterans cemeteries in Amelia Court House and Suffolk.
