Foster says, “The changes in the marketplace are going to be complex and they are going to be consistent. So learning how to think at a higher level allows you to face those changes in a way that you can gather your team together, get them to think more effectively, and then also implement the ideas and the vision they come up with”
When corporate leaders and CEOs constantly train and keep their minds open to what’s to come, Viton says, “You see them adopt lifestyle, corporate lifestyle changes. See them open the aperture of their mind that really lets go of some of the old success formulas. It’s really more about seeing people let go of the things they have relied on for so long to be the answer, and open themselves up, re-orient themselves to all the possibilities they actually have available to them.”
“I think leaders need to think strategically. I think they need to act intentionally. And I think they need to speak effectively. Those three skills, and they are skills. Most leadership things are not things you are born with, it’s not an innate talent. Any behavioral type is able to build the skills to be a good leader if they are motivated and want to take on that responsibility. It’s about serving leadership these days, serving your team,” adds Foster.
