FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Franklin County deputies arrested a Vinton man with a stolen motorcycle on Saturday, but not before he got into a fight with one of the deputies.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday, April 11, deputies noticed a motorcycle that was reported stolen from Roanoke City at the gas pumps at the Glade Hill Minute Market at 7350 Old Franklin Turnpike in Glade Hill.

The sheriff’s office says the deputies identified 35-year-old Kenneth Michael Caron inside the store with a helmet in hand, recognized him from outstanding warrants, and asked him to place his hands behind his back. However, Caron reportedly fought with the deputy before he was arrested.

Caron faces charges for grand larceny auto theft, resisting arrest, two counts of probation violation, and two counts of possession of Schedule I or II drugs in Franklin County, as well as an outstanding charge from Roanoke County for disobedience/resisting an officer from March, according to authorities.

Caron is being held without bond at the Western Virginia Regional Jail, the sheriff’s office says.
