The Kroger in Vinton is getting a face-lift.

The company plans to invest more than $3.7 million into renovating the Kroger in Vinton on Hardy Road.

The size of the store will be staying the same.

A full-service Starbucks will be added during the renovation, was well as updated sushi offerings, and a complete renovation of restrooms. Upgrades to the overall décor of the store will also be made.

The renovation will also bring a growler bar with additional wine and beer options to the store. The growler bar will feature 12 beer taps and 16 wine varieties for sale by the glass or for tastings. Customers can also get growlers, which Kroger will sell at the bar, filled on site.

The grocer is hiring approximately 20 employees as a result of the remodel.

The store will remain open during the remodeling process. The renovations are expected to wrap up in the fall of 2019.
