Vinton brewery answers nationwide plea for California relief

Local News

California’s disastrous Camp Fire has since been contained, but not before it did several billion dollars of damage and killed nearly ninety people.

The California-based beer company Sierra Nevada has created a special brew to help — the Resilience Butte County Proud IPA, with one hundred percent of the sales going toward the Camp Fire Relief Fund.

It’s asked suppliers and brewers across the country to pitch in, and one Roanoke-area business is heeding the call.

Vinton’s Twin Creeks Brewing Company will soon have the beer on tap, a decision owner Andy Bishop said he didn’t hesitate to make.

“We’re very excited to be part of this. You know, a chance to help somebody just by simply doing something we love to do.”

You can start buying Resilience on tap starting next week.
