UPDATE: Vehicle fire cleared on I-64 in Rockbridge County

UPDATE 4:55 p.m.: A vehicle fire on I-64 just past the Alleghany/Rockbridge County line has been cleared.

Traffic is said to be moving normally around this area.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A vehicle fire along a section of I-64 in Rockbridge County has created a lot of congestion.

The incident is located at mile marker 42.8 and is affecting eastbound traffic where the east right land and right shoulder are closed.

Traffic is reportedly backed up approximately four miles.

Drivers can expect delays if heading in this area.
