UPDATE 2:47 p.m.: VDOT says the scene of the Pulaski County vehicle fire has been cleared from I-81 North.
UPDATE 1:49 p.m.: Even though traffic on I-81 in Pulaski County is still backed up for four miles due to Sunday’s vehicle fire, VDOT says all northbound travel lanes have reopened near mile marker 96.
UPDATE 11:55 a.m.: According to VDOT, now only the northbound right lane and right shoulder are closed near mile marker 96 on I-81, but the delays are now estimated at three miles.
UPDATE 11:45 a.m.: VDOT says traffic has backed up for two miles along I-81 North in Pulaski County because of the vehicle fire near mile marker 96.
PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Sunday motorists can expect delays along I-81 North in Pulaski County due to a vehicle fire.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) says the vehicle fire has resulted in the closure of all northbound lanes are closed near mile marker 96 on I-81. There is no word on delays at this time.
