Vehicle crashes into Henry County home amid early morning rain showers

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A Henry County home now has a giant hole in the wall after a car collided with it Wednesday morning.

The Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department says its members were dispatched to the scene of a crash on Carver Road with possible injuries at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20. The first units on the scene discovered a vehicle had run off the road and crashed into the residence. However, there were only minor injuries reported.

Fire officials say first responders, utility workers, a building inspector, and members of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police responded to the crash.

“As a reminder, please use caution traveling the roads,” the Horspasture Volunteer Fire Department says. “A lot of of rain has fallen and more rain is forecasted. Stay safe!”
