Upcoming COVID-19 vaccine opportunities around southwest Virginia

(WFXR) — Over the next two weeks, there are several coronavirus vaccine opportunities that will be held around southwest Virginia.

The Mount Rogers Health District is offering free COVID-19 vaccines. Each location will offer either Johnson & Johnson or Pfizer vaccines.

Below is a list of times and locations for those vaccine clinics:

  • Tuesday, June 8: Fort Chiswell, 10 a.m. to noon (Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
  • Tuesday, June 8: SaVida Health, 10 a.m. to noon (Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
  • Wednesday, June 9: Dollar General, Adwolf, 3 to 5 p.m. (Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
  • Thursday, June 10: Household of Faith Community Church, Bristol, 3 to 7 p.m. (Pfizer vaccine, second dose only)
  • Friday, June 11: Cowboys General Store, Damascus, 9 to 11 a.m. (Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
  • Friday, June 11: Turman Hardwood Flooring, Galax, 2:30 to 4 p.m. (Johnson & Johnson vaccine)
  • Saturday, June 12: 7 Dogs Brew Pub, Wytheville, noon to 2 p.m. (Johnson & Johnson vaccine)

Patrick Henry High School will hold COVID-19 vaccines from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22. This will be for students to receive required immunizations and/or second doses of the vaccine. For more information on the vaccination clinic, click here.
