UPDATE (4/4/18): The body that was found on March 31 in Martinsville has been identified as Larry Hinchee.
Mr. Hinchee was reported as missing on March 24.
So far a cause of death has not been determined.

Martinsville, VA -The human remains that were discovered on Saturday, March 31, 2018 off of Barrows Mill Rd. have been positively identified as missing City of Martinsville resident, Larry Hinchee. At this time, the Medical Examiner’s Office is continuing to investigate the cause of death of Hinchee. Until the Medical Examiner’s Office releases their report, we cannot provide any further details. For now, no further information will be released by either the Henry County Sheriff’s Office or the Martinsville Police Department.
Authorities believe a body found in Martinsville is that of a man who was reported missing last week.
Martinsville Police said a man was found dead in a wooded area near Barrows Mill Road on Saturday afternoon.
Investigators believe they found the body of Larry Hinchee, who was reported missing after he vanished March 24.
The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Roanoke for identification and to determine cause of death.
