UPDATE: A woman has died after a shooting in Roanoke

UPDATE: We now know the name of a woman who died after a shooting in Roanoke. 

Asia Wade was shot in the 700 block of 29th Street, NW, at Shenandoah Village. 

Asia Wade was found in the doorway of an apartment with a gunshot wound when police got there. 

She died at the hospital at 12:42 Monday morning.  

So far no arrests have been made.

On February 5, 2017 at 11:48 pm officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 29th Street NW, Shenandoah Village, to investigate a report of a disorder. While they were responding, updated information stated there was a gunshot wound. Officers found the victim, later identified as Asia Denay Wade, age 28, of Roanoke, lying unconscious, face down in the doorway of an apartment. Wade was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 12:42 am this morning. Detectives conducted interviews and collected physical evidence at the scene. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call the RPD tip line at 540-344-8500. Callers can remain anonymous. Police in Roanoke are investigating a deadly shooting. 

It happened at 11:48 p.m. on Sunday in the 700 block of 29th Street, N.W.  

The victim was an adult woman, she died at the hospital early Monday morning.
