The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men in connection with a reported attempted kidnapping. The call came in around 5:00 p.m. from Hales Ford Road.

According to the caller, two white men attempted to kidnap his 11-year-old daughter while she was out for a bike ride. A white two-door car pulled up behind the girl.

The passenger of the car got out and grabbed both the girl and her bike, throwing them into the back seat of the car. The driver took off and traveled about 100 yards. But the girl screamed that she was going to call the police on her cell phone if the men didn’t let her go. They then pulled the girl and her bike from the vehicle. The girl called her father and told him what happened.

The car is described as a white two-door sedan with white hubcaps. The center of the hubcaps has a red stripe. The steering wheel had a red cover on it. The driver of the vehicle is described as a white male with blue jeans and a green shirt. He appeared in his late 20s or early 30s.

The passenger was described as in his late 20s or early 30s with blonde hair that was short on the sides and long on the top. One of his eyebrows appeared to be shaved off. He wore black gloves, blue jeans, and a blue shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office at 540-586-7827 or Central Virginia Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900.
