UPDATE (5:40 p.m.) — Traffic delays have extended to six miles, according to VDOT.
ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Northbound motorists are delayed for miles along I-81 on Sunday evening due to a tractor-trailer accident at mile marker 147.
The Virginia Department of Transportation says that the left shoulder and left travel lane are closed in the northbound direction, which has backed up traffic for four miles.
