UPDATE: Thursday tractor-trailer crash cleared along Route 130 West near Amherst, Rockbridge County line

UPDATE 12:05 p.m.: According to VDOT, all westbound lanes of Route 130 are back open following Thursday morning’s tractor-trailer crash near the Amherst-Rockbridge County line.

UPDATE 10:09 a.m.: While traffic is being flagged around the tractor-trailer crash on Route 130 near the border of Amherst County and Rockbridge County, VDOT says all westbound lanes are still closed at this time.

AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Thursday morning motorists can expect serious delays due to a tractor-trailer crash closing down Route 130 West near the border of Amherst and Rockbridge counties.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) says all westbound lanes of Route 130 are closed in Amherst County near the Rockbridge County line.

VDOT has yet to release an estimate of the current backups resulting from this crash, but the 511 online traffic map shows significantly slowed traffic along Route 130 West from Glasgow to Snowden.
