(WFXR) — Whether you need a summer job or a job to help support yourself while you continue your education after high school, Virginia Career Works’ Blue Ridge Region is ready to help you find that job this week during three youth hiring events around southwest Virginia.

Virginia Career Works plans to hold three “Summer Youth Job Fairs” in Roanoke City, Franklin County, and Alleghany County over the course of three days, with each event set to have at least a dozen employers in attendance:

  • Tuesday, April 26 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Northside Middle School gymnasium in Roanoke with the following employers:
    • Waffle House
    • Richfield Living
    • Roanoke County Parks and Recreation
    • Marvin Windows and Doors
    • Pratt Industries
    • Kirk Family YMCA
    • Americold Logistics
    • Salem Red Sox Baseball Club
    • Wheeler Broadcasting
    • Lawrence Companies
    • Food Lion
    • TJ Maxx
    • Camp Bethel
    • Action Personnel
    • Advance Auto Parks
    • IBEW LU 26
    • Homestead Creamery
    • Medeco Security Locks
    • Earthfare
    • Chick-fil-A (both Valley View Mall and Southern Hills)
  • Wednesday, April 27 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Franklin County High School gymnasium in Rocky Mount with the following employers:

    • Food Lion
    • FedEx Ground
    • Arrington Management (for Dairy Queen and Bojangles)

    • Chick-fil-A (both Valley View Mall and Southern Hills)

  • Thursday, April 28 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College’s armory gymnasium in Clifton Forge with the following employers:

    • FedEx Ground
    • Alleghany Highlands YMCA
    • Camp Bethel
    • McDonald’s (both Covington and Low Moor)

    • Kissito Healthcare
    • Alleghany Highlands Community Services Board
    • Alleghany Parks and Recreation
    • Kroger

According to organizers, employers will offer part-time and full-time jobs, either just for the summer or year-round, in a number of industries, including the following:

  • Retail and customer service
  • Hospitality
  • Parks and rec, as well as pools
  • Manufacturing
  • Healthcare

Virginia Career Works says information will also be available about work permits for those ages 14-15.
