(WFXR) — This week, three runners set off on a massive undertaking, planning to run 415 miles along the Mountain Valley Pipeline as a protest.
The runners hope to raise awareness of the impact the pipeline has on the environment and the people who live near it.
According to the GoFundMe for the Mountain Valley Pipeline Protest Run, the effort has raised $9,840 at the time of this writing, which is just shy of its $10,000 goal.
That money will go to a non-profit that works to protect water and land rights, as well as the Monacan Indian Nation.
