Monster Jam  is heading back to the Berglund Center in Roanoke this weekend.

But before the trucks can roll, the track had to be built in the main arena.

On Thursday, the ice was melted from the hockey rink and dirt was moved in by the truck load.

While the work was going on inside, the stars of the show were also getting ready.

“Starting today, trucks will come out of the trailer.  They all do what we call nut and bolt, they’ll go through every single piece of the truck to make sure that everything is up to our safety specifications.  They’ll air up all the tires, and they’ll shine everything up real good, and come on in and get ready ro play in the dirt,” said Jim Moehle, Monster Jam Company Manager.

Monster Jam is on Friday, April 6th at 7 p.m. and again in Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m.

Six trucks are taking part in this year’s show.
