SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE, Va. (WFXR) — Restaurants around the greater Smith Mountain Lake region are offering tasty specials as part of the first SML Restaurant Week, but only for another few days.
According to the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce, through Saturday, May 1, participating restaurants will offer the following:
- Dine-in or takeout specials at $5, $10, $20, or $30 (tax and gratuity not included)
- Menu specials for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert
Check out a list of the more than two dozen participating restaurants around Bedford County, Franklin County, and Roanoke County by clicking here.
However, organizers say the hours of operation vary. Customers are also encouraged to ask each restaurant which specials apply for Restaurant Week.
WFXR News’ Hazelmarie Anderson spent her morning at one of those participating restaurants, Franklin County Distilleries, helping in the kitchen, learning about their moonshine, and enjoying their delicious dishes and drinks in the dining room.
She was also able to speak with Erin Stanley from the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to the restaurant specials, you can also fill out a card after dining/ordering at a participating restaurant for the chance to win one of 15 gift cards worth $25 each to Magnum Point Marina, Diamond Hill General Store, Virginia Dare Cruises & Marina, Bojangles, Mango’s, Buddy’s BBQ, Subway, Peaks of Otter Lodge, The Landing Restaurant, Drifter’s, Tootie’s Smoothies, Mitchell’s Restaurant, The Copper Kettle, The Blackwater Cafe and SML Coffee House.
Those entries are due by May 1, followed by the drawing on Friday, May 7.
