ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Angels of Assisi joins more than 90,000 other organizations by opening its Little Free Library right before the start of National Library Lovers’ Month.
On Friday, Jan. 31, Angels of Assisi installed a Little Free Library in the lobby of its Community Pet Clinic with the help of Anita and Jay Finkle. The books in the library have been donated by members of the community and offers an exchange of “take a book, leave a book,” according to the news release.
Angels of Assisi describes the Little Free Library as a nonprofit organization that inspires a passion for reading, builds a sense of community, and sparks creativity by encouraging book exchanges through more than 90,000 registered libraries in more than 90 countries.
