DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Danville Community College (DCC) is asking for input from the River City community amid the initial stages of the search process for a new college president.

This comes after Dr. Jacqueline Gill Powell resigned from her position as President of DCC in May.

Both the college and the Virginia Community College System will conduct a national search for Gill Powell’s replacement.

DCC and the College Advisory Board invite the Danville community to participate in a survey to help direct the process. These survey responses will become part of the material considered by the DCC College Advisory Board in the nationwide search to find Gill Powell’s successor.

The survey will be available through Wednesday, Aug. 4, so if you want to submit your thoughts about who should be the next DCC president, follow this link
