PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — According to Pittsylvania County authorities, the medical examiner has positively identified the two men who were found shot to death inside a smoking home last December.
On Dec. 12, 2021, the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office says a neighbor in the 800 block of Old Mayfield Road placed a 911 call about smoke coming from a nearby residence.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered two male bodies inside the residence. The medical examiner later determined both men had been shot to death.
According to a statement from the sheriff’s office’s on Thursday, Jan. 13, the victims have been identified as 25-year-old Fermin Silva-Garcia and 33-year-old Victor Garcia-Mayorga, both from Mexico.
As of this writing, authorities say no arrests have been made in connection with this ongoing investigation.
