DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — Police in Danville continue searching for a missing Danville man who has been reportedly missing since August 2020.
According to the Danville Police Department, reliable information indicates that 75-year-old Herman Harston was in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in September 2020.
“All indications are that Harston traveled there on his own and he was in good health,” the department said in a statement released on Monday, March 1. “Danville Police are working with entities in that community in order to further this investigation.”
Family members reported Harston missing on Feb. 19, and indicated that they last saw him leaving his home on Chatelaine Avenue in August 2020, saying that he was on his way to the store.
His family says they have not heard from Harston since that time, but have also said that it was not unusual for him to be gone from home for a month at a time.
