HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A 20-year-old man faces charges after police say he crashed a pickup truck into a Henry County home overnight.

According to Virginia State Police, the vehicle ran off the left side of Preston Road and into the house around midnight on Friday, Nov. 12.

The man behind the wheel was charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain control of the vehicle, authorities say.

Police told WFXR News that the driver said he hydroplaned into the house.

There are no reports of injuries resulting from this incident.

Even though one person was inside the house at the time of the crash, that person was on the other side of the residence, according to officials.

There is no word yet on whether the family will be allowed to remain in the house before repairs are made.
