HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Police say a Henry County school bus and a Ford truck were involved in a head-on collision Friday morning. This marks the third crash this week involving a school bus in Henry County.

According to Virginia State Police, the collision took place shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12 in the 200 block of River Road, resulting in a temporary road closure.

Authorities tell WFXR News that there were no kids on the bus at the time of the incident.

At this time, police say they do not have any information about injuries.

This news comes after WFXR’s media partner, BTW21, reported that a Henry County school bus was sideswiped by a Toyota Avalon during a lane change along William F. Stone Highway around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

BTW21 says no students were on board and no injuries were reported.

In addition, a Henry County Public Schools bus was involved in a crash with a Dodge Ram pickup truck along Route 57 on Monday, Nov. 8 while middle and high school students were on the bus.

Monday afternoon’s crash left at least three students and the bus driver with non-life-threatening injuries, officials say.
