South Boston Police welcomes new chief

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (WFXR) — Officers with the South Boston Police Department are welcoming a new police chief.

Bryan Young will replace Jim Binner who is retiring after being with the department for over 27 years.

Binner’s retirement begins on Jan. 1, 2021 and Young will officially fill the role on Jan. 18, 2021.
