PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into a shooting that happened on Sunday, Feb. 12. One man died as a result.

Officials say they received a call around 10:30 that night about shots being fired near an Air BnN on Falcon Ridge Drive in the Leesville Lake community of Gretna.

Before officers arrived, a private vehicle drove a victim Jonathan Robertson, 28, to the Centra Emergency Department, where he later died from injuries. Robertson’s body has since been transported to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
