DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — The city of Danville has announced that beginning on Monday, April 17, Airport Drive at Stinson Drive will be closed for a road replacement.

The closing is due to a replacement of a sharp curve near the Danville Regional Airport tower with a more “uniform” curve. The project is expected to take 90 days to complete, during which motorists are advised to use South Bost Road to Airport Drive if they need access to the airport terminal or any residential properties along Airport Drive.

Motorists are also advised to use South Boston Road to Riverpoint Drive to access businesses along the following roads:

  • Stinson Drive
  • Slayton Avenue
  • River Park Drive
  • Northside Drive

Signs will be in place for detours.
