SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (WFXR) — The South Boston Police Department, Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, and the Virginia State Police are searching for two shooters. One of the men is considered “armed and dangerous.”

On Thursday, Nov. 19, at around 3 p.m., officers responded to shots fired at North Main Street near College Street in the Town of South Boston.

Officers determined that two males walking north on North Main Street had pulled out handguns and shot at a burgundy SUV that was also headed north. The burgundy SUV turned quickly into the parking lot of J&M One Stop Shop and struck a parked van that was unoccupied.

Bullets from the two shooters struck the burgundy SUV, the parked van, J&M One Stop Shop, and a metal shed beside the convenience store. The burgundy SUV left the scene headed south and the two shooters left headed north.

The occupants of the burgundy SUV called in later at a safe location to report the shooting. No one in the SUV or J&M One Stop Shop was struck.

Tequan Jamal Watson, 23, was identified as one of the shooters. Felony warrants were obtained on Watson and police are searching for his location.

If you spot Watson, contact 911 immediately. Do not try to apprehend or interact with this individual.
