SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (WFXR) — Police are investigating after three armed men reportedly invaded a South Boston home Thursday night and stole some money.

The South Boston Police Department says officers responded to a home invasion in the 1500 block of Ridge Street shortly before 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29.

According to police reports, three males forced their way into the residence — armed with one long gun and two handguns — and demanded money. Afterward, the three people left the home with some cash.

The department says the subjects were all described as wearing masks and black gloves, but one was described as heavy-set, another as slender, and the third as tall.

Police say witnesses believe the individuals possibly left the scene in a white, four-door car of an unknown make and model.
