Police dispatched to bomb threat at Integrated Textile Solutions in South Boston

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (WFXR) — Police officers and K9’s were dispatched to Integrated Textile Solutions in South Boston Wednesday morning after the facility received two calls about a bomb threat.

According to the South Boston Police Department, Integrated Textile Solutions at 2202 Parker Avenue received two calls shortly before 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24 indicating there was a bomb threat on the building.

Police believe the same person made both calls.

Officers from South Boston and two K9’s from Virginia State Police who are trained to detect explosives were dispatched to the building, officials say.

The department says Integrated Textile Solutions evacuated their employees for approximately four hours, but no suspicious items were found during the search of the building.

According to police, threatening to bomb or burn any building or structure is a Class 5 Felony in Virginia.
