Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office searches for man identified in armed robbery

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Deputies with the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a person who, according to witnesses, was one of two armed robbers in a recent home invasion.

Deputies say they responded to a report of a home invasion in the NorthPointe Apartments on Wednesday, Jan. 20.

As of Monday, Jan. 25, the sheriff’s office says felony warrants have been obtained for Anthony Davon Slade, who was identified by witnesses as one of those two armed robbers.

According to authorities, Slade is being charged with two counts of armed robbery as well as one count of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The Pittsylvania County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Slade.

If you have information about Slade’s whereabouts, you are asked to call the Pittsylvania County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-791-0044. You do not have to give your name to be eligible for the reward.
