PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Residents in Pittsylvania County will be voting on a one percent sales tax increase in November.

County leaders approved the measure during an action meeting on Tuesday, April 20.

The tax would raise approximately $3 million each year.

If voters approve, that money would go toward renovating and building new schools.
