PITTSYLVANIA, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash which resulted in a fatality on Friday, Oct. 6.
According to state police, a 2007 Chevy Impala driven by Larry Ray Smith was heading north on Rt. 685 at 11:40 p.m. The Impala allegedly then went off the right side of the road and collided into a utility pole and a tree.
Smith was not wearing his seatbelt and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. WFXR News will update as further information is released.
