PITTSYLVANIA CO., Va. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police (VSP) report a two-vehicle crash left a Dry Fork man dead on March 29th.

Around 5:56 p.m. on Wednesday, VSP arrived at Huston Road (Route 865) after receiving calls of a vehicle crash about a quarter-mile north of Sandy Creek Road.

Police believe 33-year-old Brandon M. Stowe, of Dry Fork was traveling north on Huston Road in a 2015 Chevrolet pick-up truck when he crossed into the southbound lane and hit a 1979 Chevrolet C70 dump truck driven by 47-year-old Andrew H. Payne, of Dry Fork.

The driver of the pick-up truck, Brandon Stowe, died at the scene from his injuries.

The driver of the dump truck, Andrew Payne, did not sustain any injuries.

Officers say the crash remains under investigation. WFXR News will update you as more information becomes available.
