Patrick County officials searching for missing guest who never returned to Primland Resort in Vesta after jogging

PATRICK COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Deputies, first responders, and volunteers are searching for a jogger who did not return after jogging around a Patrick County resort Friday morning.

According to the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office, Bruce Rubin is a guest of the Primland Resort in Vesta. He reportedly went jogging around 11 a.m. on Friday, July 2 and did not return.

Sheriff Dan Smith says a 911 call was made from the resort at 7:20 p.m. on Friday after Rubin did not return.

First responders, volunteers, and other search and rescue teams are actively searching the area for Rubin, who is described as a 61-year-old man who stands 5’9″ tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He has brown eyes with short gray hair and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and running shoes.
